The Micro-Steamer is an insulated microwave bag designed to trap steam from the existing water in vegetables while using the microwave.
The microwave is only used long enough to extract the water from the vegetable to create the steam/heat and because the Micro-Steamer is lined with a polyethylene layer, it creates an insulated environment so the heat is redirected back into the vegetables preserving all the nutrients.
Vegetables look, smell and taste better steaming with a Micro-Steamer and it’s much healthier than other methods of steaming because all the nutrients are trapped in the bag and not wasting water.
What kind of vegetables can it steam?
Asparagus, Broccoli, Carrots, Cauliflower, Corn, Green Beans, Potatoes, Spinach, Squash, Sweet Potatoes, Yams, Zucchini
The veggie steamer is able to steam most common vegetables on the market. The rule of thumb, if it has water, you can steam it! However, just because it has water not all vegetables turn out well. For example no beets. It’s obvious, it bleeds red. And no artichokes. Artichokes are difficult because it has two parts (leaves and heart) and do not contain much water.
